1. GET THE PEOPLE READY
We have to get rid of bad habits, and get acquainted with new ones. This requires effort from all sides. Ruben doesn’t believe in authoritarian leadership or politics on the work floor, so to get things done, the whole team has to be aligned and willing to improve. Together we do that by trust, respect, commitment and a healthy dose of humor.
2. GET THE PROCESS
RIGHT
What is necessary, and what isn’t? By having conversations and making observations, we map the old and new processes together, and find what’s working and what’s not. Next to the processes, we look for involvement, direction and inspiration. We investigate and challenge all elements, put them into flows and words, and ask ourselves if they’re “nice” or “necessary”
3. GET THE SYSTEMS RIGHT
How do you make optimal use of software, hardware and the people that work with them? In order to achieve a maximum ROI and prevent inefficient work, we try to align the workflows with the systems as much as possible to make the systems work for you, and not the other way around.
4. GET THE WORK
GOING
When everyone is on the same page, it’s time to start the new processes. Anything we missed or still needs improving? We fix it on the go. We don’t stop until everything works, and during implementation we take care of final workflows and written SOP’s to leave everyone behind with a bright smile.
